Our GoRaise fundraising programs are designed to help 501c3 organizations implement or improve their fundraising strategy.
These programs are both educational and tactical and will help your nonprofit establish a sustainable fundraising structure, as well as an overall culture of development. You will create the messaging, tools, team, and strategy needed to launch your very own fundraising campaign.
No matter your organization’s capacity, there is a program for you. Our mission is to provide fundraising advice to any inquiring organization. Each program will contain similar information, guidance, and instruction. The level of support you receive from Cogeo will increase with each program.

What to Expect
These programs will take you through the first 12 months of a strategic fundraising campaign. We will take the time to educate you about fundraising and development as it relates to the nonprofit industry, help you lay a solid foundation to support your fundraising efforts, then teach you specific strategies on how to raise funds for your nonprofit.
After completing this course, you should be on a clear path to meeting your nonprofit’s goals of expanding either programmatically, financially, or physically.
Below are the steps that each program follows:
MESSAGING Create a Case Statement
The first step in any fundraising campaign should be to establish the messaging and goals. A case statement is a tool that your team will use throughout your campaign to clearly and creatively communicate your organization’s mission, vision, and needs.
STARTER This program will provide step-by-step instructions on how to create your own case statement. There will be a content template for the messaging that should be included in the case statement, as well as a guide to collecting powerful images and quotes. You’ll also have access to a design template that Cogeo has created in order to make your case statement look clean and professional.
STARTER PLUS+ You will receive a content template for messaging and a guide to collect powerful images and quotes. Cogeo Services will do a final edit of your case statement content, provide notes if necessary, edit the final version, and design the case statement for you.
PARTNER Cogeo Consulting will meet with you each week to discuss case statement strategy and progress. Our team will continuously edit and offer revisions to the content template, select the best images or provide images, and place quotes in the most appropriate place within the case statement. Cogeo Services will design and be available for any necessary revisions throughout the course of the campaign.
TOOLS Establish a Salesforce Nonprofit CRM database
Another crucial step when building a foundation for fundraising is to make sure your team has a way to properly and efficiently track donor data. Establishing a customer relationship management system, or CRM, is the best way to do this.
STARTER The program will provide educational content about data tracking and, specifically, the Salesforce Nonprofit CRM and its many features and benefits. You’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to establish your own Salesforce CRM account and links to Salesforce training to help you learn our new system.
STARTER PLUS+ The program will instruct you on how to collect your organization’s donor data. You’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to arrange the information you have, then Cogeo Services will establish a Salesforce Nonprofit CRM account for you, as well as upload and arrange the data to be fundraising-focused, then train you on the system.
PARTNER Cogeo Consulting will meet with you each week to discuss case statement strategy and progress. TEAM Develop your Board of Directors & Build a Steering Committee
In order for your nonprofit organization to evolve, you must have a strong leadership team behind you. Fundraising starts with your Board of Directors. Without their support, your organization’s fundraising journey will be slow moving. As well, a Steering Committee will allow your fundraising campaign to grow efficiently and organically.
STARTER The program will provide educational content around what the expectations should be from the leaders within your organization and how to clearly communicate that. You’ll find scripts and guides on how to work with your Board and recruit the best Steering Committee members possible.
STARTER PLUS+ The program will provide thorough educational content about leadership -- your Board of Directors and Steering Committee. Cogeo Services will coach you on how a Steering Committee meeting should unfold and how to properly engage its members. You will find scripts and templates to communicate with your leadership.
PARTNER Cogeo Consulting will guide you through leadership development. We will work with your Board of Directors to ensure full support and will work alongside you to build a Steering Committee. Cogeo Services will host meetings and engage Steering Committee members when needed.
RESEARCH Uncover Prime Grant Opportunities
Foundation outreach is a cornerstone of any nonprofit’s fundraising strategy. There are opportunities out there for every organization.
STARTER The program will walk you through the process on how to effectively find the most appropriate grants for your nonprofit and how to apply to them with confidence. You’ll find checklists, scripts, and guides to boost your chances of having your application approved.
STARTER PLUS+ Cogeo Services will provide you with a list of grant opportunities. The program will provide a clear guide on how to research this list and uncover the best grants to apply for. You will also find some grant writing best practices to support your efforts.
PARTNER Cogeo Services will uncover which grants will be best for your organization to apply for. We will create a grant calendar and make sure all foundation progress is on track through a weekly call. Cogeo Consulting will work with the foundation to ensure that the application is thorough. We’ll review your application prior to submission.
STRATEGY Establish a Plan for Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Corporate Outreach, & Events
Then, we’ll help you execute.
These tactics are all significant pieces that will need to be included in your fundraising campaign. Each approach needs to be addressed
STARTER The program will provide you with a combination of specific instructions for some tactics (major gifts and annual giving) and general guidance for others. You will find scripts, guides, templates and more to support your execution work.
STARTER PLUS+ The program will provide you with educational content for all tactics, while Cogeo Services will meet with you to prepare you for meetings, marketing, events, and more. We will be on standby for questions as your team executes its fundraising campaign.
PARTNER You’re stuck with us! Cogeo Consulting will guide your campaign each step of way, suggesting when to implement certain tactics based on the uniqueness of your community and needs. Cogeo Services will work alongside you to execute tasks and goals that will keep the fundraising campaign moving smoothly.
What You’ll Need
In order to complete any of these programs, you’ll need:
Internet access
Computer or tablet
3-5 hours per week to work on lessons, complete tasks, and meet with consultants or donors
A clear understanding of or willingness to uncover your nonprofit’s mission, programs, goals, and fundraising needs
Access to your nonprofit’s data
Access to Board of Directors
Access to nonprofit’s community members (recommended that organization has 100+ members or subscribers)
A great attitude and a willingness to work hard. Self starters welcome!
